Dave Roberts is a director at Willis Towers Watson with over 30 years of pensions' experience. He is a specialist on the tax regime for pensions and, for the 18 months leading up to March 2018, was seconded to HM Treasury (HMT) as head of private pensions. Dave was also part of the project team that proposed and developed the current tax regime for pensions. One of his responsibilities while seconded to HMT most recently, was to provide HMT input to the Department for Work and Pensions' Green and White Papers on defined benefit pensions. Dave was also a key member of multiple working parties in the development of the IORP II Directive, working out of Brussels.
Dave is a former chairman of the Society of Pension Professionals legislation committee, former member of the Actuarial Association of Europe pensions committee and is a fellow of the Pensions Management Institute.
